Farewell to Wales, family and cherished friends

It is the last day of May, and our last day in Wales. It’s also been our first full day of rain. Thank God we’ve had glorious weather. It really makes up for the wettest February in history that we suffered through here in 1995. While here, Jean said she wants to come back to live for a while, perhaps in 10 years or so. Maybe for six months. I think I like the idea too. But constant rain might have turned me off completely.

We’ve now said goodbye to our cherished friends, one of whom, Dylan, we have learned is actually a second-cousin of Jean’s mum, Mag. Jean and young Jac are third-cousins!

Tomorrow morning we will leave Aberystwyth, and reach London around afternoon tea time. We’ll be there for the Queen’s diamond jubilee celebrations.
